Starting an assessment

Select New assessment, choose the framework, the hospital and the assessment type, and IPC360 creates a draft with every indicator ready to answer.

Select New assessment on your dashboard, or Assessments → New assessment.
Choose the framework. Normally this is the WHO IPCAF.
Confirm the hospital being assessed. Your primary hospital is preselected.
Give the assessment a title, for example “IPCAF Baseline Assessment 2026”.
Choose the assessment type: Baseline for your first, Reassessment to compare against an earlier one, or Periodic for a routine review.
Set the assessment date and, optionally, a scope note describing what was covered.
Select Create. IPC360 opens the questionnaire as a draft.

Choosing the type

Baseline: the first assessment of a programme. A low score here is the expected and useful starting point.
Reassessment: links to a previous assessment so the two can be compared directly.
Periodic: a routine review that still appears in the trend.

Note: Nothing becomes a score of record until you finalize. A draft can be abandoned without affecting any reported figure.

Selecting the hospital being assessedEvery assessment records which facility it describes; your primary hospital is preselected, and you can choose another facility instead.
Answering indicatorsEach indicator offers a set of answers with points attached; select the one that describes your hospital honestly, and add a comment where the situation needs explaining.
Draft assessmentsA draft is an assessment you are still answering. Your answers are saved as you go, it has no score of record, and it appears in no trend until you finalize it.
