Gaps
A gap is an explicit record of a weak or missing answer, traceable back to the indicator that produced it and ranked by priority.
When an assessment is finalized, every weak or missing answer becomes an entry in the gap register. Each entry records what the current position is, what the target is, how many points were lost, and which indicator it came from.
Nothing in the register is generated opinion. A gap exists because a specific indicator was answered a specific way, and you can follow it back to that answer.
What to do with them
- Open the Gap register from the sidebar.
- Work down the priority ranking. It is ordered by points lost and risk, not alphabetically.
- Assign an owner and a target date where you intend to act.
- Raise a corrective action (CAPA) for the ones being worked on, and record the evidence that closes them.
