Changing your initial password
An account created by an administrator has a temporary password; IPC360 asks you to replace it the first time you sign in, before anything else.
- Sign in with the temporary password you were given.
- IPC360 shows "Set your password" before any other screen.
- Choose a password of at least 12 characters, with upper and lower case letters and a number or symbol. A memorable phrase is stronger than a short scramble.
- Confirm it and save. You are taken straight to your dashboard.
Saving a new password signs out every other session on your account. Passwords are stored only as a cryptographic hash and can never be shown back to you. An administrator can issue a new one, but nobody can recover the old one.
