Finalizing an assessment

Finalizing fixes the score as the assessment’s permanent record and makes it available to reports and trends; it moves through Submitted and Evidence review first.
  1. Answer every indicator you intend to answer.
  2. Select Submit. The assessment moves to Submitted.
  3. Review the evidence attached to the assessment; the status becomes Evidence review.
  4. Select Finalize. IPC360 computes the score and stores it as an immutable snapshot.

What finalizing changes

  • The score becomes the score of record, with a full per-indicator ledger behind it.
  • The assessment appears in trends and can be compared with earlier ones.
  • The executive report and the other reports become available.
  • The result can no longer drift: re-tuning the scoring engine can never move a historical result.

Note: Finalize when the assessment is genuinely complete. Reopening a finalized assessment is restricted, because a score of record that can be edited quietly is not a record.
